The golden healer crystal is a variety of quartz that contains trace amounts of iron inclusions, commonly formed in igneous rocks (or volcanic rocks) as magma cools. It can also less commonly be found and formed in sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. The quartz crystals form inside rocks as silicon dioxide crystallises as it cools within the rock. T
hrough the process of weathering, iron particles can become trapped in the crystal lattice and leach into existing fracture lines within the quartz crystal.
